The Ebionite Teaching Of James The Just (Brother Of Jesus)

`My spiritual brothers and sisters. When you face trials, consider them as joy. Persevere in faith through trials and sufferings for we call blessed those who show endurance.’

He continues: `If you lack wisdom ask God and it will be given to you. Be doers of the Word and not merely hearers. God has chosen the poor in the world to be rich in faith. My beloved brothers and sisters and heirs of the kingdom this He has promised for those who love Him. If you fail in one part you will have to do it over again till you learn.

Mercy triumphs over judgement. Do not speak evil of others or you are judging. Righteousness brings peace for those who make peace.

You ask and you do not receive because you ask wrongly in order to spend what you get on your pleasures. But your gold and silver have rusted if you have laid up treasures. Do not swear oaths. Seek wisdom from above to deal with life`s tribulations and trials. If you are lacking in wisdom ask God and it will be given. Pray for wisdom, for wisdom is gained from God directly, or passed down from person to person. The rich oppress you.’

He continues: `Do not grumble against each other. As Jewish Christians and Gentile Christians thou should `love thy neighbour as thyself`, and bridle your tongues against conflicts and disputes, for these come from your cravings that are at war within you. Persevere in faith through trials and sufferings for we call blessed those who show endurance.

Pray for the suffering and sing songs of praise to help you. Pray for one another and to be healed. Elohim God is the judge and there is no partiality for He will not listen when one complains. Avoid abusive speech.

Above all do what brings wholeness and peace to the community, oh my spiritual brothers and sisters, for what is wealth and power does not matter to God. For Elohim God is one.’
