It is by the spirit of our God, brothers, that I have been impelled to speak to you regarding this good news with which you preach, for here you have perverted this good news of the kingdom, and thus by doing so have perverted the faith of some. For it is said regarding him who died for us, that is the Christ, that by means of him, that is by means of his shed blood, we might be declared righteous in the sight of God. For this is what pleases Him well, our putting our full faith in him who died for us, this not according to works-in order that no man might boast in the sight of God.
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. Eph. 2:4,5
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Eph. 2:8,9
So then, that we may make sure of all things, holding fast what is fine, let us make sure of the more important things, that is by faith in him who died for us, we might be saved by means of the grace of God, not owing to works, in order that no man might boast. For if we work hard at something, then come to be paid, it is not a reward is it? But it is our just wages, so then we have earned our way. Then really the Christ would have died for nothing.
Who among us might be declared righteous according to our own good works? Is it by means of ourselves that we are declared righteous, that by means of us we might be resurrected? Never may that happen! For which of us have died that we might be declared righteous, that by means of our blood mankind might be saved? Then really the Christ died for nothing!
“Who then are you to say, it is by means of us, that is, the words coming forth from us, by which you might be saved? Have you died on behalf of the many? Have you been declared the righteous One, that by means of you mankind might be saved? Who then declared you the saving grace of God? Who then declared you the righteous One that by means of you mankind might be saved? Why then have you taken a stand against the Christ? Why then have you cast aside his most perfect sacrifice?”
“For you do not come to say, ‘It is by means of his shed blood, that is our faith in his sacrifice, by which we might be saved.’ You come to say, ‘It is by means of us, you might come to be saved.’ Thus are you taking the place of the Christ! Thus have you come to set aside his most perfect sacrifice!”
“Who authorized you therefore, to speak in the name of our God? Who then has given you this authority? Is it from the One who calls us forth to His most glorious light? See then! If indeed you were called forth to speak the words of the Lord God, then surely the words coming forth form you would indeed proceed to come true!
“And here now has our God come to say to you, ‘False prophets! For here you come to speak in the name of the Lord, words that I have not commissioned you to say! Therefore false prophesies have come forth from you’, says the Lord our God. Therefore is our God and King well pleased to see to it that they have not come true for you, in order that you may not continue in your error.’”
“Yet have you continued on your way, covering over your sins, which the Lord our God has been well pleased to bring forth into the light, that all men may come to know the things taking place in secrecy. And here you have continued on your way, covering over your sins, yet the Lord continues revealing all things as though in mid-day. Thus have your sins come to be exposed”, says the Lord God.
‘And here I have come to be against you’, says the Lord. ‘For here I have come to judge between a sheep and a sheep. And here did I send my servant in your ears, that this one might come to pronounce your sins, in order that you might be moved to repentance. Yet look!’ says the Lord, ‘there was a throwing of this one outside the congregation, that this one might be silenced, for you were not well pleased to listen to the Lord your God, thus were you not well pleased to listen to the one I Myself sent forth’”, say the One True God over all.
‘Thus here you have come to enact harmful regulations, going beyond what is written, in the same way the Pharisees did prior to you, do you today. For where is it written, says the Lord, ‘Thou must not rejoice over the day of the birth of your son or your daughter. You must not remember it nor celebrate it?’ Yet you men have gone beyond what is written, enacting harmful regulations, laying heavy burdens upon the people. And here their cries have reached far into the heavens, and I Myself have heard them’, says the Lord. ‘Thus shall I not hold you accountable?’ Says the Lord God.
‘And here now there has been a throwing to the outside, the many, who have come to oppose the things taking place in the midst of her, that is, in among the congregations, so that those objecting, by reason of the sensibilities of their souls, came to be anguished in heart and in mind of the evil being done in the midst of her, and what have you proceeded to do?’ inquires the Lord. ‘Here you have come to throw to the outside, any who came to object, due to their consciences being pierced by the things taking place in the midst of her, that is, in and among the congregations, and with such things ought I to be pleased?’ says the Lord God.
‘And here now again have I sent one forth to you, to speak once more in your ears, of the sins with which you are sinning, which is not well pleasing in the Lord, for here you have set aside the sacred pronouncements of the Lord, in order that you may set your own regulations, and with such things ought I to be well pleased?’ says the Lord.
‘And here now what sort of things are taking place in the midst of you, with which I ought to hold you accountable?’ asks the Lord. ‘Such things as is shameful to relate even among the nations! For here you are setting aside the holy ways of the Lord, men lying with men, men lying with children! And with such things ought I to be well pleased?’ says the Lord.
And here now this good news with which the apostles preached, namely here now ‘Look! The Christ has risen, and by means of our faith in him, we might attain to everlasting life’, this to men of all nations, that is, this to men of all religions, that all who put their faith in him, might by means of him, be pronounced righteous in His eyes.
‘Now what is this I am hearing?’ asks the Lord. ‘That you men come to claim it is by means of you that mankind might be saved? Which one of you has been proclaimed perfect? Which one of you might come to die that all mankind might be saved? There is not even one, for we have before us the one who by means of him we might be saved, that is the Christ. Who then are you to be turning men aside from this faith in him, teaching all men everywhere, ‘It is by means of faith in our pronouncements by which you might be saved.’ Who then are you, to place yourself in stead of the Christ? Who then made you the intermediary by means of which the many might come to be saved? any might come to be saved? This is not from the One calling you forth to His most glorious light.
Now you will be held accountable whoever you may be, who draw men after yourselves, thus away from the Christ. For it is not by means of you that mankind might come to be saved, and this you are knowing quite well, but in order to make a great name for yourselves, have you drawn men after yourselves saying, ‘It is only the 144,00 that might come to be saved by means of the blood of the Christ. As for the rest of mankind, it is by means of us that you be saved.’”
Now the spirit of our God, and the spirit of the Christ, is poured forth upon the many, all those showing faith in the expression of his love, in that he died, in order that all mankind might come to be saved. It is by means of the spirit that we are led along, ascertaining what His will is for us, this not owing to man, nor works, but according to the grace of God, by means of him who died for us. Now you are parted from the Christ whoever you may be, who declares that we might be declared righteous by any other means. This is not from the One who calls you forth to His light, it is not the teaching from above, but is from the synagogue of Satan, for it is by means of this one that you have led the many astray, and the Lord God shall not hold you unaccountable!
Now all things take place according to the express will of our God. So then when He sent one forth, to speak in the ears of the shepherds of the congregation saying,
The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to you shepherds of Israel who only take care of yourselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? You eat the curds, clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock. You have not strengthened the weak or healed the sick or bound up the injured. You have not brought back the strays or searched for the lost. You have ruled them harshly and brutally. So they were scattered because there was no shepherd, and when they were scattered they became food for all the wild animals. My sheep wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. They were scattered over the whole earth, and no one searched or looked for them.”
“‘Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, because my flock lacks a shepherd and so has been plundered and has become food for all the wild animals, and because my shepherds did not search for my flock but cared for themselves rather than for my flock, therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against the shepherds and will hold them accountable for my flock. I will remove them from tending the flock so that the shepherds can no longer feed themselves. I will rescue my flock from their mouths, and it will no longer be food for them.
“‘For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness. I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land. I will tend them in a good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel will be their grazing land. There they will lie down in good grazing land, and there they will feed in a rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign Lord. I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice.
‘As for you, my flock, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will judge between one sheep and another, and between rams and goats. Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Ezekiel 34
‘Now here the Sovereign Lord Jehovah proceeded to send one forth into your midst, there to speak the words of the Lord your God into your ears, but you were not willing to listen to that one, for you were not willing to listen to Me’, says the Lord your God.
‘And here in that day, and at that time, you yourselves were indeed recognizing this one was indeed sent by me, says the Lord your God, for your shepherds came to inquire saying, ‘Is Jehovah with you?’ Therefore their words came to testify against them, that they were indeed recognizing that I Myself sent that one forth’, says the Lord your God. ‘Yet that one you were well pleased to throw to the outside, in order to bring that one to silence, yet truly I tell you, I Myself continued with that one saying,
Though they may pronounce you guilty, I Myself shall never leave you, nor desert you entirely says the Lord your God.
Thus although you men came to pronounce this one guilty, I Myself sent this one forth, says the Lord, thus this one was not held guilty in My eyes. And here now, that the will of the Lord might be done, was this one allowed to re-enter in among the congregation, that in future days the will of the Lord might take place with this one.
And now here once again, do I Myself the Sovereign Lord, call upon this one, to speak forth My words into your ears, that you might come to hear the testimony against you, says the Lord. And here now this one is in good standing in among the congregations, that you may not come to say, ‘Apostasy!’. For this is the will of the Lord God, that you hear His words, this by means of the foolish, that the wise may be put to shame.
Now who among you has come to say, ‘It is only the select, the few, the chosen, that is the 144,000 that might come to be saved.’? Shall God be dictated to man? Shall the pot say to the potter, this is the way in which the Lord God shall make us? Never may that happen! Rather it is the Lord God who chooses those who are pleasing to Him in heart, this by means of the spirit of our God. Now in order that you might be put to shame, was our God well pleased to call forth yet more, that your prophesies might not come to be fulfilled, for here they were not of God, that is they originated in the minds of men. So that you men came to say, ‘It is only the 144,000 that shall come to be saved by the blood of the Christ. As for the rest of you, you shall be saved by hearing the words coming forth from our mouths.’ All right then! Who called you forth to speak the words of God? For this is not from the high heavenly places, that is, this is not from the One who calls you forth to His glorious light. Rather have you not come to know that by means of him who died for us, all mankind might be saved? Therefore you are putting aside the perfect sacrifice of the Lord, whoever you may be, by proclaiming yourselves to be saviors! Who then proclaimed you as saviors? Who then declared you righteous? This is not from above. Therefore was our God well pleased to put you to shame. For do you not know that it is God who makes the words of His prophets come true? And here now your words have failed to come true for you, thus proving to you they originate with men, and not with God.
Now our God is well pleased to call from all nations, those honest hearted ones, those righteous in His eyes, that they might come to be called sons of the Most High. And here now you, for your part, have come not only to despise those whom He calls, you conspire together with others, encouraging them to be despising the ones whom He calls! Do you think, for your part, that the Lord our God is well pleased with such things? For you come to call them mentally diseased, and here you bear false witness against them, lyingly saying all sorts of things that are not in accord with the truth. What! Do you not know you shall be held yet more accountable, for you are the teachers? But here now just as the Pharisees came to be, with their legalistic rulings, so you have come to be. Judging others unworthy of the calling with which they were called. You are sinning against the Christ! You are sinning against the Spirit! For here you have come not only to judge them unworthy, but encourage others likewise to judge them as unworthy! Do you really think that with such things our Lord is well pleased?
Therefore cease now! In proclaiming your own worthiness of saving the sons of men. For men were bought with a price, that is the sacrifice of his perfect blood. Therefore since you are as the rest of mankind, that is having no righteousness within yourselves by means of which you might save others, stop putting aside the sacrifice of the Christ! For here you have been misled, not by the sons of men, but by the synagogue of Satan, for here not only are you not going in, but you are refusing to let others go in. That is why you are not called, for God has judged your unworthy hearts, therefore you lay judgment against those being called forth as sons of God. This is not from above. This is from the synagogue of Satan.
Now Satan is not ignorant of your designs, for here he is knowing the darkness of your hearts, therefore has he come to lead you astray, that you might put behind you the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, that no man might come to be saved by faith in that perfect sacrifice. This is not from the One who calls you to His most glorious light, rather it is from Satan, whose henchmen you have become.
For here you are throwing to the outside, the ones the Lord God has sent in His name. And they, that is the elders, recognizing this, came to ask, ‘Is Jehovah with you?’ thus do their words testify against them. Thus the spokesmen of the Lord God do you thrust to the outside, seeking to silence them! For here you are not pleased to listen to the Lord your God, thus are you not pleased to listen to the prophets He sends forth in His name. And shall not the Lord God hold you guilty for your sins? Do you not know there shall be an accounting before the Lord of all our deeds whether good or vile? Therefore continue your days in fear and trembling for the Lord God is against you in all you do, for the righteous you throw to the outside, and the guilty you protect. For here you are covering over the sins of the shepherds, that the laws of the land may not come against them, yet Look! says the Lord, I have made manifest that which you have tried to remain covered. Now your sins have been made manifest, as in mid-day, that all may come to see, that a word the Lord has not spoken, you have declared, ‘The Lord has spoken’, therefore has our God and King come to lay accusation against you saying, ‘False prophets is what you are! For here you are proclaiming, ‘The Lord has said,’ When I Myself have not spoken’, says the Lord our God.
“Now shall the peoples of the earth come to be baptized in your name?” inquires the Lord. “Or rather shall the people come to be baptized in the name of the one who sacrificed himself that all mankind might come to be saved? Why therefore are you so intent on a publishing company? Do you not know the good news being proclaimed by the apostles was that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was died, resurrected, and sits at the right hand of the Father? Where then is it written,” asks the Lord, ‘You must be baptized into the name of a publishing company?’ Or rather, ‘You must be baptized into the name of the Watchtower’? You have stepped aside from the truth, despising the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, therefore have you impaled him anew!”
“Now here you have come to condemn the religions of the world saying, ‘It is Babylon the Great! The empire of false religion!’ All right then! You may lay judgments against the religions of the world, but what are you doing? That is, are you the one stealing, preaching you must not steal? Here then you lay blame against all the religions of the world saying, ‘False prophets!’ Yet are you prophesying falsely? I tell you the truth, you are,” says the Sovereign Lord God.
“Here you have side stepped the commands of God namely, ‘Go learn what this means, I want mercy and not sacrifice.’ You have turned aside from mercy, turn aside the righteous judgment for the widows and the fatherless boys in your midst. You have let the brothers of the Christ go hungry, and sent them on their way saying, ‘Be well fed! Be in peace!’ and have not offered them even a crust of bread. In what way then shall the Lord God come to be well pleased with you?” asks the Lord our God. “Here you have put aside the command of the Christ namely:
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” Matt. 25:31-46 NIV
So then you came to enact harmful regulations, putting aside the instructions with which the Lord instructed us, that is the doing of good unto others, but you cast aside his words replacing them. Now these good deeds, that is the doing of good unto others, is what the scriptures command us to do, however you set these aside enacting your own harmful regulations. “For here though they proselytized in my name”, says the Lord, “it was with a view toward baptism, that is the putting of faith in the sacrifice of the Christ, so that by means of him we might be saved. You though, have come to lay your own commands upon the sons of men, not only do you come to say, ‘You must go therefore and preach this good news of the kingdom.’ You come to say, ‘This though is what the kingdom means, the end is coming! Soon shall come the destruction of the Lord God upon all the unrighteous that we might be saved!’ Where then is this command? Did you not come to read, ‘They went therefore baptizing all those that believed in the Lord and they came to life.’ That is they were declared righteous by means of faith in his sacrifice. This though is not what you are preaching as good news today. Here you have perverted the good news, in order that you may come to be peddlers of God’s word! For here you come selling the word of God, in your many campaigns saying, ‘It is by means of the watchtower that mankind might come to be saved!’ This though is not from the One who calls us forth to reign in the heavens with him, rather this is from the synagogue of Satan, for he is not unknowledgeable, rather he knows that by means of faith in the sacrifice of the Lord, all mankind might come to be saved. Now in order that this might not come to happen, did he come to mislead you, setting aside the sacrifice of the Lord, saying, ‘It is by means of us that you might come to be saved, for we are the spokesman of the Lord God!’ Thus have you come to be misled. For your blood is not worthy of granting life even for one hour, thus not for the world of mankind, yet that is what you are proclaiming.”
“This though is the good news that ought to be declared, ‘Look! It is by means of faith in his sacrifice that we might be saved! This not owing to works, in order that no man may come to boast, but it is by means of the grace of the Lord our God.’ From this you have turned aside, therefore does the Lord our God turn aside from you.
Now the Lord God shall not do a thing unless He reveals it to His confidential servants, that is His prophets. Thus to you it is being revealed, by means of the spirit, which is poured forth upon the one whom the Lord calls forth to speak His words, ‘Look! He comes and His righteous judgment comes with him’. Therefore be in fear and in trembling, for with the measure that you were measuring out, so shall it be measured out to you. That is, you judged without mercy, therefore you shall come to have your judgment without mercy.’ Therefore be in expectation of it, for it shall not be late. Look! The Lord comes! And His righteous judgment comes with him. To him be the glory and the honor forever and ever. Amen.
Let the one who has an ear, hear what the spirit says. That is, let the one having the spirit, come to recognize the spirit of our God is speaking.
